Acrylic
Thermoplastics, often purchased in sheets as a lightweight or shatter-resistant alternative to glass. Known by many names, with generic names including acrylic, acrylic glass, and plexiglass.
Brand names include Plexiglas, Evonik Cryo Acrylite, Lucite, Plaskolite, Optix, Perspex, and many more.
MDF
Medium-density fibreboard also known as MDF, is an engineered wood product. Made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure.

Laminated Pine Board
Normally refers to pine boards which are made up of smaller pieces of pine laminated/glued together.
Plywood
This is a material is manufactured from thin layers or “plies” of wood veneer that are glued together with adjacent layers having their wood grain rotated up to 90 degrees to one another. It is an engineered wood from the family of manufactured boards which include medium-density fibreboard and particle board. Wikipedia

1. Ebony (Hardwood)
Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Characteristics: Dense and black, often with subtle streaks of brown or grey. This wood it extremely durable with a fine texture, Uses: To make musical instruments (like piano keys and guitar fretboards), carvings, and luxury furniture.
2. Rosewood (Hardwood)
Brazil, India, Madagascar, Characteristics: Rosewood is Reddish-brown with darker veins and a sweet, floral fragrance. This wood is strong and resistant to decay, Uses: Used to make high-end furniture, flooring, and musical instruments (like guitars and pianos).
3. Purpleheart (Hardwood)
Central and South America, Characteristics: With a Rich purple hue that darkens with age or UV exposure. Purpleheart is a Dense and highly durable wood, Uses: Mostly used to make decorative furniture, flooring, and veneers.
4. Teak (Hardwood)
Southeast Asia, Central America, Africa, Characteristics: With its Golden brown colour, and is resistant to water and pests. It also contains natural oils that enhance durability, Uses: Great for outdoor furniture, boat building, and flooring.
5. Zebrawood (Hardwood)
West Africa, Characteristics: As per the woods name, Zebrawood has Light brown with dark brown or black stripes resembling a zebra’s coat. With a medium to coarse texture, Uses: Best used of veneers, furniture, and decorative accents.
6. Mahogany (Hardwood)
South and Central America, Africa, Characteristics: This wood has Reddish-brown with straight grains. Making it easy to work with and moderately durable, Uses: Mostly used in Furniture, cabinetry, and musical instruments.
7. Cocobolo (Hardwood)
Central America, Characteristics: With its Rich orange or reddish-brown with darker streak grain, this wood catches the light beautifully. Cocobolo also contains natural oils that make it resistant to wear, Uses: Wood carvers love turning objects, small decorative items, and knife handles out of this wood.
8. Wenge (Hardwood)
Central Africa, Characteristics: A dark brown wood with black streaks. This wood is dense, hard, and slightly coarse in texture, Uses: mostly used in flooring, panelling, and high-end furniture.
9. Padauk (Hardwood)
Africa, Southeast Asia. Characteristics: This material description is a stunning bright orange-red grains that darkens over time. The wood is highly durable and resistant to decay, Uses: Best used for furniture, flooring, and decorative carvings.
10. Lignum Vitae (Hardwood)
Caribbean, Central America. Characteristics: With its Greenish-brown grain and an incredibly dense and oily surface, this wood is known as the hardest wood in the world, Uses: often used for tool handles, shipbuilding, and bearings.
